We try to help with other needs as we can. We have programs to provide gifts to children in need, personal hygiene items and pet food as our supplies allow. If you have needs beyond what we can help with or live outside of our area, perhaps there is another organization that can help you.
Personal Hygiene ItemsWe attempt to keep a stock of personal hygiene items on hand to be given out on an as–needed basis, however we are limited to the supplies we have on hand and may not always have some of each kind of item in stock. However, we do our best to keep a variety of supplies, potentially including the following:
- Toilet Paper
- Bars of Soap
- Laundry Detergent
- Liquid Dishwashing Soap
- Feminine Hygiene Products
If you have need of any of these products, please feel free to ask.
Pet FoodWe also provide food for our four legged friends.
Animal companions are often the only source of unconditional love for many people who have fallen on hard times; unfortunately, they are often the victims of economic difficulties. Animal shelters today are seeing an increase in surrenders due to foreclosures and job loss.
Our pet food program attempts to provides food bags geared specifically to the need of the animal, whether it is a dog or cat, senior, small or large. Cats also receive litter when available, and all animals receive whatever products are on hand to assist in their care.
Donations of pet food (especially cat) is always appreciated. For many of the families we assist, those with four legged members in their household, it has been a godsend for them to be able to have animal food to feed their beloved pets.
We believe this project lessens the amount of animals abandoned and therefore lightens the load for animal agencies and the community in general. When an animal is surrendered, everyone loses, and often, those affected most are children. By providing pet food, we hope animals will be able to remain in their cherished role as a vital member of the family.
